I am by no means a fitness expert or coach, but I would like to share with you some easy tips that I’ve been doing to keep my body right especially on days when I am feeling extra lazy. I have tired all of these lazy girl fitness tips. In fact, I have seen myself lose weight just from these few tips! Let me know what does and doesn’t work for you.

1. Take the stairs whenever possible

I work in a building that requires stairs to get into our main office and my office is on the second floor. Daily, I’m averaging about 15-30 flights of stairs climbed. If you have the option to take stairs over an escalator or elevator, do it. This is a great way to get your body moving and your heart pumping.

2. Get out for a daily walk

I don’t have a dog, but I try to go on daily walks. I’ll go with a friend and instead of just talking about the day at home, we go for a walk and catch up. If you have a dog, you have more of a reason to go for a walk. If you don’t have a dog there are plenty of dog walking apps out there. You’re being active and earning some extra cash! Sounds like a win-win to me!

3. Youtube

Another big thing that I’ve been really big into, are finding quick and easy workouts on Youtube. There are millions of options on there! My go-to is dance fitness type workouts. I hardly feel like I’m working out. Nothing beats dancing and listening to my favorite songs!

4. Daily Goals

I have talked to a few people about this one and it seems I’m not the only one that does this. So every time I receive a phone call, email, or use the restroom at work I do a set number of a certain exercise. For example, every time I use the restroom, I do squats. I have been doing this for about 3 months now and I can honestly see a difference. I started by doing 25 each time and then upped the number by 5 every time I felt like it was getting too easy. I’m now at 45 for each set. It’s a simple goal that is super easy and you’re still being active.

5. Set reminders

Being active at least once an hour is super important. Even if you just go for a quick walk around the house or office, you’re still up, your heart rate is elevated, and you’re burning calories. Set a reminder on your phone to get up at least once an hour. Your body will thank you later.

6. Try a free fitness classes

There are tons of free fitness classes that you can try at your local gyms. Bring a friend. Try something new. You just never know what you might enjoy!

  1. I don’t have any lazy gurl fitness tips, but I’m glad I read this. It’s some great tips for me to use, I gotta get in shape. What better way then to do some of these great ideas, like when I go pee do some squats. I love it!!

  3. Great ideas! At work I have now opted to send all my printing items to the copier out in the main area so that I force myself to get up and move to get my printed items. Instead of using my desk printer I am now forced to move. It really does make a difference.
